Bijit Gwra Ramchiary (b. 1991) is a well-known and Sahitya Akademi- Yuva Puraskar Awardee Bodo poet, short story writer and novelist. He was born in 1991 to Narendra Ramchiary and Kamini Ramchiary at Chauduriput village of Meghadad Area under Baksa district.
He started his early schooling from his village . In 2007, he pass his matriculation examination from Kamrup Janata Vidyalaya. He then studies his intermediate science at Tamulpur Higher Secondary and pass out in 2009. In 2012, he completed his Bachelor of Science from Barama College with Biology Honours. At presently, he works jobs in Indian Railways department.
Ramchiary is a well-known Bodo poet, short story writer and novelist too. He started his literary career since 2014, and published four books till date. His debut of poetry book Gwrbwni Aroj was published in 2014. In 2015, he published one more short story book Rojenw Lirhornai Laijam. He has published two novel books namely Hor Gejerni Mwsha, published in 2016, and Khwmsi Horni Unao was published on January 2020.
For his outstanding contributions in Bodo literature and bringing new trends he awarded Sahitya Akademi-Yuva Puraskar in 2017 for his book Gwrbwni Aroj. In 2018, he awarded Dr. Ambedkar Sahityasri National Award by Bharatiya Dalil Sahitya Akademi from New Delhi.
