The Importance of Education in Life

The Importance of Education in Life

Many years ago today, the famous Greek philosopher Aristotle said – “The root of education is bitter but its fruit is sweet.”

What is truly remarkable is that the majority of people in the world are too poor to work hard. Most people want to have easy access to just about anything. Many people want their ideas and desires to come true easily. But education is such a thing or power that no human being can achieve it without any effort.

To get quality and higher education, the student has to come to school or college every day, leaving behind his lazy nature, fear and shame. A student has to pay attention to what his teachers teach in school and he has to obey the rules and regulations of the institution. In order to get the right education, many rules must be followed or else a student will fail in the process of education.

The people need quality education to live very well. Without education, humans would have continued to live like animals to this day. There was no society among human beings, no fraternal relations, and the age of science and technology had not yet arrived. Everything that human beings have developed has been due to education.

An educated person is able to think quickly and well and perform any task. An educated person can do any work very well and efficiently by using different ideas and techniques. But an uneducated person has to keep thinking about how to do something. Hence Bodo social reformer and nationalist Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma once said, “Leading a family of an uneducated people is like walking a blind man’s on street.”

According to him, a blind and illiterate person cannot lead anyone else. They are not able to lead themselves properly, and trying to lead others only creates greater risks or more problems for them.

A wide range of subjects are taught in the school. It offers education and training in science, art, mathematics, literature, sociology, culture, economics, politics, entertainment and general knowledge. It is the knowledge of these subjects that is essential for humans to live in the present. Therefore, every child should come to school and concentrate on getting an education. Every guardians should send their children to school and college and back if possible.

Because today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. The future always depends on them and wait. A happy family, the responsibility of leading their community and country will fall on their hands. The point to be noted is that if there is no education, how will he lead a multiethnic country? How can one take on the heavy responsibility of leading the nation? Forget caste and nation, he will not be able to lead his family well without education.

Every individual should aspire to build a healthy society. The development of the community and the country should be considered and education should be introduced so that the future generation can take up its great responsibility.

All of these ideas and goals exist in a school and college. Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma could think of these serious things at that time itself and not only thinking he also started working hardly. Wherever necessary, schools were established by taking the help of educated people and request them to involve. Teachers were trained by establishing seminaries and people who could not think or understand were attracted and sent to schools.

It was at the request and motivation of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma that the people of that time sent their children to study in the school and college. These works are the greatest works of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma. He was always a thoughtful and multifaceted personality for the welfare of the community.

What Gurudev had already worked on, great personalities of the world like Nelson Mandela and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan had worked on. Even to this day, Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi, the youngest Nobel laureates, continue to speak of the need for education.

In this way, Gurudev’s thought should remain alive in the society. Every parents or guardians wants their children to be educated and not to be bored and pretentious. Everyone should support their children’s education to the extent possible. People living in other neighbourhoods should also be helped and encouraged to pursue quality and higher education as much as possible.

Everyone needs education, everyone needs to understand the importance of the education and to take. The more educated everyone is, the greater the mutual understanding between them will be. There will be less fighting and yelling at each other. Only with knowledge and education can one be aware of any natural disaster or calamities and man-made problems.
